History
The Frank Nora Show began broadcasting on the Internet in March 2003 as “The Overnightscape”.
In December 2007, Frank began “The Overnightscape Underground” as a channel for additional audio productions.
In August 2008. Frank began a new show called “The Rampler”, which was very similar to The Overnightscape, but which was recorded on Frank’s commute, walking around NYC – as opposed to being recorded in The Overnightscape Studio.
In 2009, Frank brought The Rampler to radio station WFMU.
Around September 2009, things had gotten very stressful and chaotic. Frank ended The Overnightscape and The Rampler, and soon thereafter WFMU cancelled The Rampler on WFMU.
In October 2009, Frank took a few weeks off to try and figure out how to move forward. The next month, he came back on The Overnightscape Underground – continuing to do shows, but in a more freeform manner.
Also around this time, many listeners of Frank’s show began doing their own shows, and Frank brought them together on The Overnightscape Underground.
In May 2010, Frank decided to rename his show “The Frank Nora Show” – and number it at 1500 – counting all the previous shows he had done under different names – since they all are “Frank Nora Shows”.
In October 2010, Frank created this new website for his show – so it would be able to exist as a separate podcast – though it is still also posted on The Overnightscape Underground.
